Apprenticeship as an information technology officer

Would you like to become an IT specialist? Do you have good communication skills and understand complex technical issues?

An apprenticeship as an IT specialist offers you a wide variety of tasks relating to problems and solutions in the IT sector.

IT specialists are the interface between technology and application. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to procure and manage information and telecommunications technology systems. You will learn how to plan application solutions and advise employees in different areas of the company. IT specialists are also responsible for commercial aspects such as cost-benefit analyses of new computers or network expansions. They also support employees in the use of IT systems and are responsible for system administration (network administration, database administration).

What you can expect during your apprenticeship

- They are mainly employed in the Central Information Technology department and are trained in specialised areas.
- You will become familiar with the commercial departments of an industrial company and thus cross-departmental business processes.
- You will be supervised by training officers in the respective departments.

You score points with

- At least a very good secondary school certificate
- Initial prior knowledge (e.g. through internships or attendance at a vocational school)
- Interest in information and telecommunications technology as well as commercial processes in an industrial company
