The Schunk Global Graduate Program is aimed at university graduates from various disciplines with above-average academic achievements, initial practical and international experience, and a willingness to work independently and globally. They are developed into highly qualified junior staff for global tasks. As a trainee, you will gain a comprehensive overview of international structures and processes within the Schunk Group. These are used worldwide in various Schunk companies. You can put the knowledge you have acquired during your studies into practice in interesting projects and continually expand your knowledge. International co-operation and practical placements in different countries will enhance your network and inter-cultural skills. You can find an overview of our international locations here.

Course of the Global Graduate Program

The duration of the program is 16 months.

The individual posts in which you are deployed are customised to your needs and our requirements. You will work on strategic projects, take on operational activities, and prepare for your future career. You will regularly take part in joint training modules and networking events with all trainees. You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with managers and colleagues and expand your personal network. You will receive a permanent contract at the start of the programme. After graduation, we will continue to offer you interesting development and training opportunities within the Schunk Group.

The application process for the next Global Graduate Program will start in January 2023.

Please apply only in English via our on-line application portal. After a pre-selection process, all candidates will be invited to an interview. This will be followed by an on-line test and then the final selection. If you meet the following prerequisites and are open to new ideas, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and want to take on professional responsibility quickly, the Schunk Global Graduate Program is sure to offer you challenging prospects.

You should meet the following prerequisites

 

  • You have an above-average university degree (Master’s or Diploma).
  • You have already gained international and practical experience (e.g. semester abroad)
  • You have an excellent command of English (at least C1 level according to CEFR).
  • You are able to familiarise yourself independently with unfamiliar and complex tasks.
  • You are prepared to work flexibly at different locations worldwide.
  • You have a high level of initiative and motivation.
  • You work efficiently and in a target-orientated manner.
  • You are a strong communicator and a team player.

Advanced training – room for your development

We open up individual future prospects for you with a wide range of advanced training and qualification programmes.

Whether you are a skilled worker or a manager or in Germany or at one of our international locations, we will work with you to develop your potential according to your needs.

We want to help you not only professionally. We also offer a wide range of training courses in which you can strengthen your methodological, social, and leadership skills. Our courses range from topics such as project management and moderation techniques to time and self-management to dialogue skills and conflict management.

With our Schunk CAMP management development programme, we can specifically prepare you for a management position.


Family and career – a good balance

Looking after children or relatives in need of care whilst successfully pursuing a career can be a daunting challenge.

We therefore support you in balancing the two. If necessary, we will work with you to develop a customised solution (e.g. through flexible working hours or time off).

At many locations, you also benefit from childcare services for your children through cooperation with local kindergartens and daycare centres as well as the Schunk children’s holiday programme.


Health and sport

We want you to stay healthy. That’s why we invest in your fitness and health.

A wide range of sports programmes also ensures an active balance to everyday working life. Or you can train for one of the large and small sporting events such as the international Schunk football tournament or a company run for a good cause.
