At times up to 80 controllers from all over the world recently took part in the Global Controller Meeting. Controllers from Mexico, the USA, from all over Europe, Asia (and especially China) and also Australia had joined together via teams from the entire Schunk Group - thanks to the virtual meeting without travel expenses and costs, many of them were able to participate for the first time.
Under the chairmanship of Ruben Cabrera, Head of Group Controlling, the controllers dealt with current challenges such as the effects of the war in Ukraine, the Corona pandemic, material bottlenecks and increased producer prices.
In his guest presentation, Dr. Arno Roth, CEO of the Schunk Group, highlighted the importance of controllers in the current situation and also pointed out the need to involve customers in the sharp rise in material prices.
In addition to controlling-specific topics such as the preparation of a profit and loss statement at the Business Unit level or planning for 2023, the participants received information and food for thought on more general Schunk topics, such as the annual motto "Accelerate Digitalization" or the major OneERP+ project.
And team building was not neglected in the team meeting: Lars Borgas, Stefan Heun and Imre Borsos shone as top controllers in an interactive quiz à la "Who wants to be a millionaire".
