Mayor Dietmar Kromm, Dr. Ulrich von Hülsen (Executive Board Schunk Group), District President Dr. Christoph Ullrich, District Administrator Anita Schneider, Dr. Arno Roth (CEO Schunk Group), Peter Kuisle (MD Weiss Technik), Dirk van Manen (MD Weiss Klimatechnik) and Peter R. Manolopoulos (Executive Board Schunk Group).

Weiss Technik logistics center - the second: Weiss Technik celebrated the rapid progress of construction of the new logistics center at the Reiskirchen-Lindenstruth site with a topping-out ceremony in the presence of District President Dr. Christoph Ullrich and representatives of the public and business partners. There, the Schunk Group is investing around 20 million euros in order to fundamentally modernize the site's logistics and adapt its capacities to the growing requirements.

"The Schunk Group is continuously expanding its locations in Central Hesse. Weiss Technik has grown strongly at the Reiskirchen site. To enable further growth in the future, Schunk is investing in the new logistics center," said Dr. Arno Roth, CEO of the Schunk Group, at the topping-out ceremony.

"Modern logistics is a foundation for further growth here at the site," emphasized Peter R. Manolopoulos, Member of the Executive Board of Schunk and Managing Director of Weiss Technik. He added that the new logistics center will help to optimize the flow of materials at the site and thus further increase efficiency and thus competitiveness.

Due to the good order situation, Weiss Technik currently stores some material off-site. This is to change at the latest when the new logistics center goes into operation in 2023. Then a new logistics building with 5,800 square meters of usable space and a shipping building with 2,800 square meters of usable space will bring Weiss Technik's logistics to a whole new level. State-of-the-art technology will also contribute to this, such as a so-called Autostore, in which robots independently store and retrieve small parts.

Heating technology, air-conditioning technology, environmental simulation

Throughout Central Hesse, the Schunk Group has created 400 new jobs in the same period.
