New Paperless Office app takes next step toward paperless office.

Fact: Paper-based forms are still the order of the day in many work areas today. With the Paperless Office initiative, we at Schunk want to ensure that only digital documents are circulated. This simplifies and accelerates processes and is also sustainable.

Central IT have already taken a first step with electronic signatures. Now we want to go further. For this, Central IT provides a app that enables an approval workflow of internal documents without requiring a digital signature. This means: approvers do not have to sign the document to be approved. Instead, proof of approval/rejection is provided in the form of an approval protocol.

What use cases does Paperless Office currently cover?

  • approval of internal documents
  • up to 6 approvers
  • no qualified signature required on the document

Which use cases does Paperless Office currently not cover?

  • Documents that require a "real" or qualified electronic signature (Adobe Sign, DocuSign)


In practice, nearly all internal documents can be used with it, but please consult with the respective process owner to determine whether it can/should be used for your specific document.
