Liedekerke in Belgium marked the start: Together with Peter R. Manolopoulos, Member of the Executive Board of the Schunk Group and responsible for Weiss Technik, and Peter Kuisle, Managing Director of Weiss Technik, Dr. Arno Roth visited the site of Weiss Technik Belgium.

On site, the CEO of the Schunk Group expressed his gratitude for the high level of commitment shown by the 32 employees in the environmental simulation and thermal engineering market in Belgium - even in the face of the difficulties brought about by the Corona pandemic.

"We are all committed to contributing to the success of the company and its profitable growth, whether here in Belgium, in America or in Asia," Dr. Roth said. "That's why we are counting on you and your commitment to work for Schunk and give your best every day."

Dr. Roth recalled Ludwig Schunk's motto, according to which the upward development of the company is the best service to its employees, and presented the site with a bronze bust of the company's founder.

It went down really well with the employees that the company's executive management was there in person. "Their praising words generated positive energy among us. That pleased us all and gave us good courage for the future," said Managing Director Dirk van Heck after the visit.

Also presented with a Schunk bust was the Tiel site in the Netherlands, where Managing Director Kees Winkel welcomed the guests. A total of 45 employees take care of business in the Business Units Environmental Simulations and Air Solutions. Only in 2021 - which was excellent for Weiss Technik Netherlands - ClimaTech, another company specializing in the cleanroom business, was acquired.

Together with Dr. Ulrich von Hülsen, Member of the Executive Board of Schunk Goup and responsible for the carbon business, Dr. Roth finally visited Schunk Carbon Technology in Rotterdam. The eleven-strong team with Ton de Jong supplies the Dutch and Belgian markets for rail technology and power transmission from here - and was also pleased to receive a presented Schunk bust.
