Interview with Helmut Kipp, head of the weisstechnik Academy. For around three years, the weisstechnik Academy has been synonymous with successful application, technology and product training in the field of environment simulation and climate technology – always tailor-made to the needs of our customers, partners and weisstechnik employees.
In 2020, a further 3 practice-oriented attendance seminars are being included in the weisstechnik Academy portfolio:

NEW Webinar: Features of a ClimeEvent
In this approx. 60-minute webinar you will learn about the design and basic functions of our climatic chambers. We explain the differences between different refrigeration circuits - e.g. for -40 °C or -70 °C, give an insight into humidification and dehumidification systems and explain the differences and function of different humidity measurement systems.
The information is aimed for better understanding the functions of the devices and to simplify everyday testing.

NEW: User training air conditioning testing - from the standard to the test
Modern products are becoming smaller and more complex all the time, while requirements are increasing and development times are being reduced. The reliability of such new products can be tested with the aid of environment simulation.
A deep understanding of the basic physical principles is essential for this, however. The interaction between test chamber, test specimen and standard is extremely complex.
The course has been prepared for onboarding new employees and colleagues who wish to refresh their knowledge. It goes without saying that everyone is welcome. To cut travel time, some parts will be trained online. In small groups, participants will learn the following contents on the basis of an exemplary standard prepared specifically for the course (similar to an IEC standard):
- Basic principles of environment simulation and basic physical principles
- Behaviour of the test chambers with test specimen and influence of the test specimen on the test
- Briefing at the unit
- Influence of air routing and control on the test
- Operation and program preparation
- Insertion of test specimens
- Discussion of the test results
- Keeping climate chambers ready for operation

NEW: User training - salt spray tests for beginners
Salt spray tests are among the most complex tests in environment simulation. What is corrosion and what influences it? How does a salt spray test work and how are the results comparable?
Following an introduction to the subject of corrosion, we explain on the basis of ISO 9227 how a salt spray chamber works and how a test is carried out in a standard-compliant way. We work in a practice-oriented way and operate salt spray chambers in small groups.
