With the successful delivery of a drive-in climate test chamber, Weiss Technik has reached another milestone in the realization of sophisticated testing facilities. The largest chamber ever manufactured at the company's Reiskirchen site was recently loaded and dispatched to the customer.
The system is a drive-in climate test chamber designed primarily for material analysis. Measuring 4,750 x 3,500 x 8,350 mm and offering a test space volume of 67 m³, it provides exceptional capacity for demanding testing applications. The specially designed test area allows for the testing of vehicles up to the size of delivery vans and is equipped with two mobile access ramps.
The dimensions of the chamber posed significant challenges not only for engineering and production, but also for transportation. The overnight heavy-haul transport required precisely coordinated logistics to ensure the safe delivery of the system to its final destination. In fact, completion of a motorway construction site had to be awaited before the transport could take place.
The successful shipment highlights Weiss Technik's expertise in the planning, manufacturing, and implementation of large-scale testing and environmental simulation systems. Close coordination between all involved departments, from development and production to transport organization, was a key factor in the project's success.
With this system, the customer receives a unique testing platform tailored to its specific testing requirements.
