"I'm happy to be back!" said Miriam Möser. After a two-year break because of Corona, it was "Schunk läuft!" again yesterday at the Giessen company run. And Schunk was represented with a large team. "Great weather and super colleagues - it's just great fun!" - the good mood was obvious to the purchaser from Schunk Sonosystems.
And all 68 runners from Schunk, 53 men and 15 women, were in a good mood. Even though the team was significantly smaller than at the last run in 2019, this did not dampen the mood. On the contrary: everyone was happy to be able to start together again in the green shirts at a running event. This was also ensured by the great preparation and support by Nadja Gabriel and Ana-Lea Bode from the health and family service.
Top placings for Schunk
A look at the runners' placings also gave reason for good spirits: Erik Büchele, repair employee at Schunk Sonosystems, and Timo Biedenkapp, Technical Specialist at Weiss Technik, were the fastest runners in the field with times of 15:39 and 16:26, respectively, over the five-kilometer course. Among the ten best-placed men were six runners from Schunk. So it was more like "Schunk runs!". The fastest woman runner in the team was Silja Römer, commercial clerk for warehouse accounting at Weiss Technik, with a time of 22:21, which put her in ninth place among the women.
Some of the runners were also lucky in the subsequent prize draw and went home with a new cordless vacuum cleaner.
And last but not least the team reeled together another 340 kilometers on the counter for the donation to the Ukrainian children in Romania.
