Jürgen Zauner took the best photo from a paraglider over Mauritius: a shot of the underwater waterfall in front of Le Morne Brabant mountain. "I've been a passionate paraglider pilot for more than half my life," says Zauner. "The thermals and the laminar sea breeze allowed me to fly for hours with a wonderful view of the reef and the underwater waterfall." The Technical Procurement Manager at the Bad Goisern site pressed the shutter release - and captured the natural spectacle with his camera.
Zauner received a prize from Schunk today for his extraordinary aerial shot: a smartwatch, personally presented by CEO Peter R. Manolopoulos.
Picture calendar for all employees
Zauner's motif was chosen as the winner from the numerous entries in the Schunk photo competition. It now adorns the Schunk picture calendar 2024, which all Schunk employees worldwide will receive as a small gift from the Schunk Group Executive Board. It will also be given as a gift to customers and partners.
