Dual study programme – combining theory and practice

Would you like to pursue a Master’s degree after successfully completing your diploma or Bachelor’s degree programme but also start your career at the same time? You can combine both perfectly with your dual Master’s programme. You can study at a university and then put your knowledge directly into practice at Weiss Technik.

During the dual Master’s programme, you will work independently on your own projects and attend lectures at the same time. During the dual study program, you will receive remuneration in line with your qualifications. After successfully completing your studies with an internationally recognised Master’s degree, your can continue you career at Weiss Technik.

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for a dual Master’s program are a successfully completed Bachelor’s degree or a comparable degree as well as a contract with a Weiss Technik company as a partner company.

Internship

Gain professional experience with exciting projects

Whether it’s a basic internship or a practical semester: if you don’t just want to look over our shoulders but rather want to make a difference yourself, an internship at Weiss Technik offers you exciting challenges.

Our range of offers is as diverse as our company. Most internships are in the technical field. But we are always looking for support in controlling, purchasing, sales, and human resources.

Prerequisites

In order for us to be able to actively involve you in projects, you should plan a little time. As a rule, an internship at Weiss Technik lasts between four and six months. Of course, you will not be left on your own during this time. Your personal advisor will be on hand with help and advice.

Working student job

As a working student, you will most likely be employed in production. However, there are also some opportunities in the commercial sector.

  • Proof of enrolment a higher education institution/university
  • Good to excellent academic performance
  • Ideally previous experience through internships
  • Ability to work in a team and flexibility as well as an independent and structured way of working

 

 


Holiday job

Earn money during your summer holidays

Are you of legal age and would like to earn some extra money during your semester break?

Every year, we are looking for school and university students who are interested in a holiday job in our production areas, partly in shift operation.

Prerequisites

The minimum duration is usually four weeks.

Did you know that Weiss technology makes your everyday life safer? In our facilities, we not only test cars, aircraft components, and navigation devices under the most extreme conditions but also ensure an optimum climate in data centres, operating theatres, and the food industry. Through working at Weiss Technik, you will make your first contacts with specialists in environmental simulation and air conditioning technology and discover innovative technologies used all over the world.

02 Intensive support

During your internship or thesis, your personal supervisor will be on hand with help and advice. In addition, we organise company tours as well as leisure and sports activities at many locations in order to bring you into contact with your colleagues. Of course, we will pay you an appropriate expense allowance.

03 Röntgen prize

As a technology company, the Schunk Group attaches great importance to promoting science. Schunk is therefore one of the sponsoring companies of the Röntgen Prize. Every year, the Justus Liebig University of Giessen honours outstanding work by young scientists in the fields of radiation physics and basic radiobiological research.

04 Deutschlandstipendium

The Ludwig-Schunk-Stiftung e. V. is one of the sponsors of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship programme and thus supports particularly high-performing and committed students at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen every year.

05 Ludwig Schunk Prize

Schunk honours motivation and commitment. Every year, the Ludwig-Schunk-Stiftung e. V. awards Ludwig-Schunk prizes to the best graduates of the various disciplines at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen who, in addition to their outstanding academic achievements, have been involved in voluntary work.

As a cooperation partner of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences and the Europäischen Studienakademie Kälte-Klima-Lüftung (ESaK), Weiss Technik offers various dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes for a perfect combination of theory and practice.

As a premium partner, the Schunk Group supports the racing teams of THM Motorsport and the DART Racing Team of TU Darmstadt in the in-house construction of their racing cars.
