Schunk has a new CEO: as of November 1, 2023, Peter R. Manolopoulos is the new CEO of the Schunk Group following the retirement of Dr. Arno Roth.

"I would like to thank Dr. Roth for the outstanding work he has done for Schunk over the past 25 years," Manolopoulos said. "Our company is financially stable and independent, we have an excellent technological position and are the market leader in many fields worldwide. As CEO, I would like to further strengthen this excellent market position and thus expand Schunk's success together with my colleague Dr. Ulrich von Hülsen."

The change at the top of the Schunk Group is accompanied by additional personnel and organizational changes.

Dr. von Hülsen, Member of the Executive Board of the Schunk Group and COO responsible for the Division Schunk Carbon Technology, has also assumed responsibility for the Division Mobility as of November 1, and will thus manage Schunk's entire materials business with immediate effect. "This gives us the opportunity to network our materials business even further and thus make better use of the synergies for our company," says Dr. von Hülsen.

The Division Machinery & Equipment will initially continue to be managed by Manolopoulos. The successor for the position of COO of the Division Machinery & Equipment has already been found and will be communicated at a given time.

As a result, the Management Board of the Schunk Group will continue to consist of a CEO and two COOs in the future.
