Optimum infection protection through layered ventilation

Since viruses such as the Corona virus mainly spread via aerosols in the air, there is a particularly high risk of infection in closed rooms. weisstechnik has therefore developed the first decentralised layered ventilation unit for rooms occupied by people, to provide optimal protection against infection there. With 100% fresh air, the layered ventilation method ensures highly efficient infection protection and significantly reduces CO2 pollution, too.

The principle of layered ventilation

Directed air in rooms occupied by people

With layered ventilation, the supply air is blown into the room at low velocity. Due to the people in the room, the ambient air heats up and flows upwards due to thermal buoyancy and aerosols and pollutants are carried upwards. This principle has already been used successfully in industry for a long time to reduce dust and particles.

A decentralised layered ventilation unit for rooms occupied by people, such as classrooms and assembly rooms, uses the natural thermal buoyancy to remove the aerosols. With 100% fresh air, the layered ventilation method ensures highly efficient infection control without cross-drifting of breathing air to neighbours and reduces CO2 pollution.

Significantly reducing the viral load in the classroom and thus making face-to-face teaching safer: This works by the innovative Vindur® LayVent ventilation unit which is working with the layered ventilation principle proven in industry and which is permanently exchanging the air in the classroom by fresh air. Aerosols, pathogens and CO2 are almost completely removed without cross-drifting - for more safety in the classroom.

Vindur LayVent

Innovative. Reliable. Efficient.

Vindur LayVent uses layered ventilation to utilise natural thermal buoyancy for the removal of aerosols. With the innovative layered ventilation unit from Weiss Klimatechnik, you safely implement the hygienic requirements for room air. The ground-level admission of uncontaminated fresh air supports the natural thermal and prevents formation of room air rolls – polluted room air is no longer returned from top to bottom. The automatic formation of the fresh air layer on the floor provides a flexible air supply as required.

Vindur LayVent ensures optimum air hygiene and offers a significantly better protection against infection than conventional air cleaners and mixed air systems. CE-certified and in accordance with VDI 6022 – something you can rely on.

Your benefits:

• Optimal infection prevention by layered ventilation as required (40 times safer than mixed ventilation*)

• Lowest CO2 concentration due to 100% fresh air

• Highest energy efficiency by heat recovery

• Intelligent, self-directed control

Schools

High time for more clean air

In our knowledge-based society, education is crucial for individual opportunities in life. In times of a pandemic, protecting schools must therefore be a top priority. Face-to-face teaching is essential for the development of our children. To achieve this, optimal air hygiene with the highest possible protection against infection is more important than ever before. With decades of experience in hospital and clean room air conditioning, we are working hard to achieve this.

weisstechnik has now developed the first decentralised layered ventilation unit for rooms occupied by people, such as for example classrooms and assembly rooms. Vindur LayVent uses natural thermal buoyancy to remove aerosols. With 100% fresh air, the layered ventilation method ensures highly efficient infection protection without cross-drifting of breathing air to seat neighbours, and CO2 pollution is reduced. An intelligent control system adapts the air volume to the number of people in the room in an energy-optimised manner as required – additional ventilation is therefore no longer necessary. Breathe a sigh of relief!
