Weiss Klimatechnik provides test space with air-conditioning and drying technology

Case Study

WHY – The Challenge.

MERZ Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, a renowned manufacturer of packaging machines with headquarters in Lich, Germany, was faced with the challenge of setting up a test room to carry out packaging tests on demanding products. It is essential to simulate a smooth production process and to carry out tests with customer products in an appropriate environment. During this test period, one of the company’s packaging machines was installed, which is used to package products such as cough liquid in sachets and granules. The quality and reliability of both packaging and products depend heavily on precise control of temperature and humidity. The creation of a clean room was therefore of the utmost importance.

HOW – The Idea.

The idea was to develop a customised ISO Class 7 clean room that would provide the required temperature and humidity control. MERZ Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH also opted for the recommended installation of a Condair dehumidifier to effectively control the humidity in the clean room.

  •  Individually adjustable humidity
  • Control adjustable from outside
  • Turnkey project incl. personnel airlock

WHAT – The Solution.

The clean room has been designed to meet ISO Class 7 requirements and is equipped with special filters and air purification systems to ensure a clean environment for packaging tests. The dehumidifier allows the humidity in the clean room to be precisely controlled, ensuring optimum conditions for packaging testing. The Vindur® Compact unit ensures air purity and a constant temperature.
